The 2013 European Solheim Cup Captain Liselotte Neumann, better known as ‘Lotta’, will visit the Ljungbyhed Park PGA Ladies Open, taking place on the LET Access Series from 16-18 May this week.

Sweden’s Liselotte Neumann has been named the Captain of the European team for next year’s Solheim Cup match at Colorado Golf Club in Parker, USA.

The 2011 Solheim Cup, held at Killeen Castle, Co Meath, from 22 to 25 September 2011, was worth €37 million according to new post event analysis by Repucom International and Sports Marketing Surveys. The study, which was commissioned by Ladies European Tour, was based on information provided by the event organisers, an on-site spectator surveying and an analysis of the extensive media coverage arising.

Meg Mallon, an 18-time winner on the LPGA who represented the United States as a player in The Solheim Cup on eight different occasions and as assistant captain once, today was officially announced and introduced as U.S. Team Captain at the 2013 Solheim Cup, to be played Aug. 13-18, 2013 at Colorado Golf Club in Parker, Colo.

Barring a stunning turn of events, one of those two will be the next U.S. Solheim Cup captain when the Americans meet the Europeans at Colorado Golf Club in the fall of 2013.
